Those of you that were facing issues with syncing play counts from your ZuneHD will be pleased to know that Microsoft has just pushed out a firmware update. Just hit up the “Player Update” button and wait for your device to update to Zune Firmware 4.3.
Not only does the new ZuneHD Firmware address the recent play count issues, Microsoft were kind enough to bundle a few extras along with it, including support for upcoming 3d games and applications.
Browser Updates
- The browser loads and rendering is much faster, especially on complex or content filled sites such as Engadget.
- In the settings you can now choose either the desktop or mobile option.
- No longer any browser flicking during scrolling.
- Improved Tap-To-Zoom
- Better ability to scroll when typing a message online.
Keyboard Updates
- Predictive Text
- Auto capitilization
- Dedicated Settings Menu
- The keyboard is now fullscreen in landscape.
- You can skip from one row of keys to the next
Music
- Artist Bio’s now contain links to songs, similiar artists and other albums.
- Slightly smoother scrolling and faster bottom-to-top warp.
Radio
- Choice of seek method (presets or seek) in settings
Other Updates
A few other updates that have been noticed are more fluid transitions and the fact that apps seem to be loading slightly faster. The accuracy of the touchscreen has also been considerably improved ni gameplay, as well as the apps now closing much faster than before.pps load slightly faster, and the accuracy of the touchscreen is improved during gameplay.
A faster startup has also been reported by some users and the power off now says ’slide down to power off’ rather than the previous of just ‘Power Off’.-
