The new Zune Software (4.0) is a visually stunning piece of software with some equally amazing features. These are my comments on the great and not-so-great updates that Microsoft has released for the new Zune – each with appropriate screenshots for your viewing pleasure.

Grahm Skee over at AnythingButIpod has already teared the Zune HD to bits and lived to tell the tale in the Zune HD Disassembly article – which features nice photos of all of the HD Guts as well as letting you know how to take yours apart (if you dare).

As with previous versions of the Zune Software, in 4.0 Microsoft limits and hides the  Zune Marketplace from being viewed by those outside of the USA. This is a precautionary measure to ensure the maximum level of Zune goodness is enjoyed by those it was intended for.

Today is a big day for Microsoft, the technology world and Zuners like yourself – it’s the release day for Zune HD & Zune Software 4.0 which are now both available. This is seen as Microsoft’s big move, alongside Windows Seven which will probably make or break the Zune brand.

Nothing much of interest in this weeks Zune Newsletter but I thought i’d post it up anyway since some of you don’t receive it. Theres not been much more info on the Zune HD lately so I guess we’ll have to wait until tuesday!
