Microsoft responds to Apple’s Request

Microsoft recently responded to Apple’s request by altering their Laptop Hunter TV Commercials to accommodate Apple’s recent pricing change. Microsoft’s focus however has not changed “which is to showcase the value and choice of the PC”.

Tsera sues Microsoft, Apple and others

A company called Tsera filed a suit on July 15th against 23 electronic companies (including giants such as Microsoft, Apple and LG electronics) for violating a patent on touch input. The suit cites that that these products feature touch input violating their patent for “Controlling a Portable Electronic Device Using a Touchpad,” which was granted to Tsera in 2003.

Microsoft Opening Retail Stores, Right Next to Apple’s!

Microsoft Cheif Operating Officer Kevin Turner told partners in his keynote speech at the Worldwide Partner Confrence, that Microsoft is planning to open the first of its Retail Stores right next to existing Apple stores. As of yet its uncertain what the stores will feature but this will only add to the on going competition with Apple.
